EasyEngine, Letsencrypt and Non-ASCII-Domain (IDN)

Is there anything special when I have Non-ASCII Domain also known as International Domain Name (IDN) such as “имена.бг”.

When I try to create new site like “имена.бг” it failed on mysql step. It worked for ASCII strings using punycode transcription “имена.бг”. I was able to add site but older browsers failed to validate SSL certificate.

Hello @Jasom, yes you have to use ASCII version of your domain name to create it with easyengine and to use let’s encrypt. But there is no way to use IDN domain with older browsers.

@virtubox, I don’t care it doesn’t work in old browsers (Win XP). That’s the price my client pays for his decision to use this exotics :smiley:
